Kuridrani brothers to feature in Coral Coast 7s July 20, 2011 By Lavenia Vuadreu Kuridrani brothers, Tevita and Chris who have both featured for Fiji and Australia in the Junior World Championship are among a strong Brisbane Nadroga/Navosa outfit named to feature in the Fiji’s Coral Coast 7s tournament to be held in November. Tevita is also part of the Queensland Reds Academy and had featured for the Australia 7s team in the 2010/2011 HSBC World 7s Series. The Brisbane Nadroga/Navosa team is one of eight overseas teams confirmed to take part in the 24-team tournament scheduled for November 18-19. Coached by Elia Tuqiri Junior, the visiting team has won two tournaments – the 2010 Byron International Sevens and the Fiji Day Sevens. Meanwhile organisers of the Coral Cost 7s tournament have confirmed high profile former Wallaby David Campese will be the events ambassador and technical adviser for one of the teams competing. Campese will assist the Navosa Warriors as their technical advisor under team coach Aisea Tuilevu, a former Fijian Rugby representative. New Zealand Rugby has also put its support behind the tournament and is entering two teams - the New Zealand Fiji Barbarians, coached by New Zealand union great Amasio Valence and Rangataua from the Bay of Plenty coached by Valence’s former teammate, now turned television presenter, Matua Parkinson.
